Chlorophyll, Indolic compounds (indoles) including histamine, serotonin and 5-hydroxytryptamine; Sterols, lignans, polyphenols, flavonol glycosides (kaempferol, quercetin – anti-histamine) and various acids including ascorbic, malic and formic acid., vitamins, minerals (calcium, potassium, iron, silicic acid), proteins. Rich in Vitamin K.

Main actions:

Astringent.  Diuretic.  Tonic.  Alterative.

Other Actions:

Anti-haemorrhagic, astringent, styptic, tonic, diuretic, counter irritant, alterative, antiallergic, rubefacient, galactogogue, hypoglycaemic, hypotensive, antirheumatic, depurative. Anti- inflammatory. Nutritive.

Root: Reduces prostate enlargement

Dosage:

3–6ml TID Aerial parts

4–9ml TID Root

Safety:

Long term use can be drying.
