the story | SO FAR
Shanbally House and Gardens had fallen into disrepair when Noel and Bridget Duggan (née O’Meara) purchased the estate in 2013. Noel and Bridget could see that the walled garden and two hundred acres of land were ideally suited to grow selected medicinal plants. Their sentiments for the site and its rich history, paired with a firm commitment to achieving health through nature, moved Noel and Bridget to restore this Georgian estate to its former glory. In returning to the hands of its original owners, Shanbally estate has been re-established as a national landmark for traditional and spiritual healing, through herbal and folk medicine in Ireland. We are now closed for the winter season, but will reopen to the public in Spring 2021.
